Yesterday American people celebrated Thanksgiving Day and we had a wonderful performance at our school on this occasion. This is the holiday when we thank parents, teachers, God for everything that we have. The performance was in English and everyone was really incredible. The pupils showed the history of that tradition and they were dressed like Indians, turkeys and Pilgrims. It was really amazing that the whole school family gathered together for celebration. It was a great chance for children not just to show their talents while singing or reciting poems, but they had the reason to say „Thank you” to each other one more time. It’s so nice to learn something new from the culture of other nations, to borrow some traditions and especially if it concerns gratitude.
24 listopada Amerykanie obchodzili Święto Dziękczynienia i z tej okazji w naszej szkole mieliśmy wspaniałe święto. To święto, kiedy dziękujemy rodzicom, nauczycielom, Bogu za wszystko, co mamy. Uczniowie, przebrani za Indian, Pielgrzymów, indyków…, w języku angielskim przedstawili historię tej tradycji. To było naprawdę niesamowite, że cała szkolna wspólnota zebrała się razem, aby świętować. Była to wspaniała okazja dla dzieci, aby nie tylko pokazały swoje talenty śpiewając czy recytując wierszyki, ale miały powód, by jeszcze raz sobie podziękować. Miło jest nauczyć się czegoś nowego z kultury innych narodów, zapożyczyć pewne tradycje, a zwłaszcza jeśli chodzi o wdzięczność.
